Naturally, every principal believes that his or her school is a fabulous place to work. I am no exception. For years I have heard townspeople speak of East Elementary and the quality teachers who deliver outstanding instruction to the students who attend here. When I moved to East five years ago, I learned that the reputation East Elementary enjoys in this community is well deserved. I found teachers here who put their students first in every way, giving their best each and every day to make sure that all students' needs are met and that learning is the first priority. I found parents who support the school, no matter what the request. I found students who like their teachers, give their best every day and meet challenges with a "can do" attitude. Education experts stress that the culture of a school can have a major impact on the learning that takes place there. East Elementary has a culture where relationships are nourished and lives are enhanced. Our t-shirt slogan is more than just a saying.
